todays post is all about my Hometown team and soon to be World Champs again, the Boston Red Sox. we are off to such a great start this year, even though we are riddled with injuries to key players. If this is any indication of how the season is going to play out, i for one cannot wait for October baby!!!

Boogidty Boogity Boogity, lets go racing!!!! This weeks topic for illo-friday is speed, and nothing yells speed more than NASCAR. For my illustration, i took a pic of some cars and went to town. i added some glows and blurs and scribble effects to make this shit scream speed....Watch out for crashes!

Spring

This weeks topic for Illofriday is spring. What better wasy to ring in spring than the blossoming of flowers. I did this certain illustration by just using the Auto Trace Tool in Illustrator (thnx Charly). I used a picture of some flower blossoms and traced the hell out of them. I know what you are all thinking right now, "this does not look like a monster to me T.J.". Trust me on this one, this character is more of a monster than you could ever imagine. Astro-SoulEating-Scarab-Creep Man is such an evil creature, that anyone who looks upon him will instantly burst into flames. Astro-SoulEating-Scarab-Creep Man comes in the night and steals childrens souls while destroying the flesh of there parents. The worst part about Astro-SoulEating-Scarab-Creep Man is that he cannot be stopped, not by anything. That is what makes him the worst kind of monster around.

So this week it is all about tats. A lot of people thought I'd do another tribute to my main man miT, but i figured that i'd show u all the tat i'd get...once i get some greens. it's a 311 symbol with the words PEACE, LOVE, UNITY and RESPECT in it....or PLUR.

Insects

Hello again. So this weeks topic for illo-friday was insects. i dont exactly know why i decided to do butterflies (maybe so i can bang a mother's day gift out of the way too, who knows), but it totally came out kick-ass! i pretty much just used a lot of of graphic styles on this one. i think it came out pretty rad.

Tea 4 two

so this weeks topic was tea....lol. as u can see, i decided to go with what wakes me up in the morning, a Starbucks green Tea, and a herbal tea. i used a lot of different effects, especially on the wood panels and the wall, as well as the sky. i can honestly say that i rushed to get this one in because i have been really busy working on a kick ass picture this week. i hope you dig this. when i finally finish the other pic, i'll post that as well.

Simple is as simple does

so this weeks illofriday topic was "simple". let me tell you, for such a "simple" subject, it was really hard to come up with an idea. i was working all week on chakras for one of my friends and was going to post one of them, but if you know what one looks like, you would know that it doesn't fit the category. since chakras are spherical, i decide to go with that idea and play on it. hopefully u enjoy the simplicity of it.

one hard chair

So this is it. the very first posting for illoFriday. im not too impressed with it. in fact, i kinda rushed it. there was no need to, i spent all of an hour and a half on wednesday doing it. the statue came out descent, but the chair looks rushed. as for the background, i dont even want to go there. hopefully in the weeks to come, my posts will get better. if not, im going to have to hire someone to kick my ass.
